Below is a list of our long verses suitable for our memorial card range.
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
forever and ever.
Amen.
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
To sweet Eternity.
We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things, But never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know,
For some the journey's quicker,
For some, the journey's slow.
But when the journey finally ends, We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace, Together with the Lord.

Ever-living, loving God, long ago you led the young man Kevin to
the beautiful valley of Glendalough to follow his dream and grow in knowledge of himself and union with you through presence, prayer,
penance and silence.
Help us to treasure life as he did accepting all its shades of light and darkness. In our busy world help us to find a little space to be still and know that you are God calling us home to heaven where you live and reign with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.

They say there is a reason,
They say that time will heal,
But neither time nor reason,
Will change the way we feel.
For no-one knows the heartache, That lies behind our smiles,
No-one knows how many times, We have broken down and cried. Gone from home that smiling face, Those cheerful, happy ways,
The heart that won so many friends, In bygone, Happy days.
We want to tell you something, So there won’t be any doubt, You’re so wonderful to think of, But so hard to be without.
We cannot bring the old days back. When we were all together,
The family chain is broken now, But memories live forever.
It was a sudden parting
Too bitter to forget,
Those who loved you dearly,
Are the ones who can’t forget.
We often sit and think of you,
And think of how you died;
To think you could not say goodbye Before you closed your eyes.
Your life was one of kindly deeds, A helping hand for others needs, Sincere and true in heart and mind, Beautiful memories left behind. The blow was hard, the shock severe, To part with one we loved so dear; Our loss is great, we’ll not complain But trust in God to meet again. Two tired eyes are sleeping,
Two willing hands are still,
The one who worked so hard for us, Is resting at God’s will.
Our family chain is broken, Nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one The links shall join again.
We sat beside your bedside
Our hearts were crushed and sore; We did our duty to the end,
‘Til we could do no more.
In tears we watched you sinking, We watched you fade away,
And though our hearts were breaking We knew you could not stay.
You left behind some aching hearts, That loved you most sincere.
We never shall and never will Forget you, Mother dear.
For many years the family chain Was closely linked together,
But oh! That chain is broken now, The main link gone forever.
The sunshine of our happy home, Must always clouded be,
But Thou O Lord has sent this cross, We bear it all for Thee.
O Little flower of Jesus,
Ever consoling troubled souls with Heavenly Graces,
In your unfailing intercession
I place my confident trust. From the Heart of our Blessed Saviour petition these Blessings of which I stand in greatest need. Shower upon me your promised Roses of Virtue and Grace, dear St. Theresa, so that swiftly advancing in sanctity and in perfect love of neighbour,
I may someday receive the
Crown of Life Eternal.
Amen.
I am home in heaven, dear ones. Oh, so happy and so bright! There is a perfect joy and beauty in the everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, safely home in heaven at last. There is work still waiting for you, so you must not idly stand,
do it now, while life remaineth, you shall rest in God’s own land. When that work is all completed, oh, the rapture of that meeting; oh, the joy to see you come!
God saw you getting tired,
and a cure was not to be.
So He put his arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me.” With tearful eyes we watched you and
saw you pass away,
and although we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.
Softly in the morning,
You heard a gentle call,
You took the hand God offered you,
And quietly left us all.
The day you left us,
our hearts just broke in two,
The smallest part is still with us,
And the biggest part with you.
For the rest of our lives we will miss you, Our secret tears still flow,
Oh, how we really loved you,
No one will ever know.
We miss your smile, your joking ways
We miss the things, you used to say,
And when old times we do recall,
It’s when we miss you most of all.
You were always there when we needed you, No task too great or small,
With loving heart and willing hands,
For us you did it all.
Look around your garden Lord,
And when she turns and smiles,
Put your arms around her,
And hold her for a while.
Death is nothing at all. I have
only slipped away into the
next room. Whatever we were
to each other, that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar
name, speak to me in the easy
way which you always used.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was; there
is absolutely unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near just around the corner. All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be
as it was before-only better,
infinitely happier and forever
– we will all be one together with Christ.
When I must leave you
For a little while-
Please do not grieve
And shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow to you
Through the years,
But start out bravely
With a gallant smile;
And for my sake
And for my name
Live on and do
All things the same,
Feed not your loneliness
On empty days,
But fill each waking hour In useful ways,
Reach out your hand
In comfort and in cheer
And I in turn will comfort you
And hold you near;
And never, never
Be afraid to die
For I am waiting for
you in the sky.
When tomorrow starts without me,
And I'm not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes All filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
We didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too.
But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name, And took me by the hand.
My place was ready,
In heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.
What comfort just to clasp it,
My Rosary so dear;
Each mystery brings fresh courage And drives away all fear.
In prayer so oft repeated,
Yet never growing old,
I read the wondrous story,
Of God’s own love untold.
Each chaplet forms a garland, To place at Mary’s feet;
Fair buds and full-bloom roses, Exhaling fragrance sweet.
The Crucifix which crowns it Reminds me day by day,
To bravely bear my crosses, Along earth’s rugged way.
I hope when life is ended,
And death shall set me free
Still twined around my fingers, My Rosary Beads shall be.
You can shed tears that she is gone, or you can smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back,
or you can open your eyes and
see she has left.
Your heart can be empty
because you can’t see her,
or you can be
full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her
and only that she’s gone,
or you can cherish her memory
and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back,
or you can do what she’d want,
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
When I come to the end of the road,
And the sun has set for me.
I want no rites in a gloom filled room, Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not too long,
And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared, Miss me but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take, And each must go alone.
It’s all a part of the Master’s plan,
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart, Go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrow in doing good deeds, Miss me but let me go.
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little - But not too long
And not with your head bowed low Remember the love that we once shared Miss me a little - but let me go.
For this is a journey that we all must take And each must go alone
It's all a part of the Master's plan
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds. Miss me - but let me go.
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free.
I took His hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
My life’s been full, I savoured much, Good friends, good times,
a loved one’s touch.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and share with me, God wanted me now,
He set me free.
Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the uplifting rush
Of quiet birds’ encircled flight;
I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.
I’d like the memory of me
To be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an After Glow of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo Whispering softly down the ways.
Of happy times and laughing times And bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve, To dry before the sun.
Of happy memories that I leave When Life is done.
A bouquet of beautiful memories, Sprayed with a million tears,
Wishing God could have
spared you,
If just for a few more years.
It does not take a special day,
For us to think of you,
Each Mass we hear,
Each prayer we say,
Is offered up for you.
We cannot bring the old days back, When we were all together,
Our family chain is broken now,
But memories live for ever.
One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he
was walking along the beach with the lord. Across the sky floated scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, the other to the lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the lord about it. “Lord you said once I decided to follow you, you’d walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when
I needed you most you
would leave me.”
The lord replied, “My precious,
precious child,
I love you and would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.
Death is nothing at all - I have only slipped Away into the next room. Whatever we were to Each other, that we are still. Call me by my old Familiar name, speak to me in the easy way Which you always used.

The lord is my shepherd
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in
green pastures,
He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I will fear no evil
for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff
they comfort me…
Surely goodness and mercy
Will follow me
all the days of my life,
And I will dwell
in the House of the Lord forever.
There’s not a day that passes
That I don’t sit and cry,
And look to Heaven for a reason
But still I don’t know why.
Couldn’t he have waited
Another year or two,
Until you were a little older
And I’d had more time with you.
Forgive me, Lord, I then say,
All these thoughts are wrong,
There had to be a reason,
And I know I must be strong.
You’re in the arms of Jesus now
And I know that you’ll be fine,
But I wish with all my heart,
That those arms could be mine.
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God
has chosen for me.
I took His hand when I heard him call;
I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way; I've now found peace at the end of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow Look for the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much; Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Perhaps my time seems all to brief; Don't lengthen your pain with undue grief. Lift up your heart and peace to thee,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
May you always walk in sunshine and God's love around you flow, for the happiness you gave us,
no one will ever know, it broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone, a part of us went with you,
the day God called you home
A million times we've needed you.
A million times we've cried.
If love could only have saved you.
You never would have died.
The lord be with you and
may you rest in peace.
Amen.
Everybody loves to be remembered,
But if we want to be remembered,
We have a duty also to remember. Memory is a powerful thing.
Wrongly used it can bring death
rather than life.
Rightly used it is a form of immortality.
It keeps the past alive.
Those we remember never die.
They continue to walk with and talk with us. Their influence is still felt among us. There is nothing
stronger or more
helpful than a good remembrance. Mother, we want you to know that
We haven’t forgotten you.
We remember you, and your memory Most definitely brings life to us today. May it also assure us of life for you,
That eternal life Christ came to earth
to give to us.
Missed in the morning
of every day,
Missed in the evening
as light fades away,
Missed in a thousand
and one little ways
Around every corner a memory stays.
No one knows
the pain we bear,
When we all meet
and you're not there,
We talk, we laugh,
we play our part,
But behind it all lie broken hearts.
You gave us years of happiness, Then sorrow came with tears,
You left us lovely memories,
We will treasure through the years.
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known
that any one who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I
fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins
my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy clemency hear and answer me.
Amen.
May you see God’s light
on the path ahead
When the road you walk is dark. May you always hear,
Even in your hour of sorrow,
The gentle singing of the lark. When times are hard may hardness Never turn your heart to stone,
May you always remember
when the shadows fall
You do not walk alone.
They say there is a reason, They say that time will heal;
But neither time nor reason,
Will change the way we feel.
For no-one knows the heartache,
That lies behind our smiles;
No one knows how many times,
We have broke down and cried.
Gone from home that smiling face, Those cheerful, happy ways;
The heart that won so many friends,
In bygone, happy days.
We want to tell you something,
So there won’t be any doubt;
You’re so wonderful to think of,
But so hard to do without.
We cannot bring the old days back, When we were all together;
The family chain is broken,
But memories live forever.
I’m writing this from Heaven
Where I dwell with God above
Where there’s no more
tears and sadness
There’s just eternal love.
When you are walking down the street And you’ve got me on your mind I’m walking in your footsteps
Only half a step behind.
And when you feel that gentle breeze Or the wind upon your face
That’s me giving you
A great big hug
Or just a soft embrace.
And when it’s time for you to go
From that body to be free
Remember you’re not going
You are coming here to me.
Don’t think of him as gone away, his journey’s just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrow and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort, where there are no days and years. Think how he must be wishing that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched, for nothing loved is ever lost,
and he was loved so much.
God looked around his garden, And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth, And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you,
And lifted you to rest,
God’s garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.
He saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb, So he closed your weary eyelids, And whispered “Peace be thine”.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my Mother’s arms and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there’s an ache within
my heart that will never go away.
If I had all the world to give,
I’d give it, yes, and more,
To hear his/her voice, see his/her smile, And greet him/her at the door.
But all I can do, dear Father/Mother Is go and tend your grave,
And leave behind tokens of love,
To the best father/mother God made. I like to think when life is done, Wherever heaven may be,
He'll/She’ll be standing at the door Up there to welcome me.
When tomorrow starts without me,
And I'm not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes All filled with tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
We didn't get to say.
I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too.
But when tomorrow starts without me, Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name, And took me by the hand.
My place was ready,
In heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what’s to be,
A resting place along the road
to sweet eternity.

We all were meant to learn some things, But never meant to stay.
Our destination is a place
far greater than we know,
For some, the journey’s quicker,
For some the journey’s slow.
And when the journey finally ends, We’ll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace, Together with the Lord.
There comes a time for all of us When we must say goodbye, But memories of those we love Live on and never die.
Although the curtain falls at last, Is that a cause to grieve?
The future life is brighter still
If only we believe.
So trust in God’s eternal care, And when the Master calls, We’ll know a fairer world’s beyond, Although the curtain falls.
I’d like the memory of me
to be a happy one
I’d like to leave an after glow
of smiles when life is done
I’d like to leave an echo Whispering softly down the ways Of happy times and laughing times and

Of happy memories that I leave
when life is done.
In my craft or sullen art
Exercised in the still night
When only the moon rages
And the lovers lie abed
With all their griefs in their arms,
I labour by singing light
Not for ambition or bread
Or the strut and trade of charms
On the ivory stages
But for the common wages
Of their most secret heart.
Not for the proud man apart
From the raging moon I write
On these spindrift pages
Nor for the towering dead
With their nightingales and psalms
But for the lovers, their arms
Round the griefs of the ages,
Who pay no praise or wages
Nor heed my craft or art.
Do not go gentle into that goodnight,
Old age should burn and
rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the
dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right. Because their words have forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that goodnight.
Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Wild men who caught and sang
the sun in flight,
And learn, too late,
they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that goodnight,
Grave men, near death,
who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like
meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the
dying of the light.
And you, my father,
there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with
your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that goodnight.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Tread lightly, she is near Under the snow,
Speak gently, she can hear The daisies grow.
All her bright golden hair Tarnished with rust,
She that was young and fair Fallen to dust.
Lily-like, white as snow,
She hardly knew
She was a woman, so Sweetly she grew.
Coffin-board, heavy stone, Lie on her breast,
I vex my heart alone,
She is at rest.
Peace, Peace, she cannot hear Lyre or sonnet,
All my life's buried here, Heap earth upon it.
I know that I shall meet my fate Somewhere among the clouds above; Those that I fight I do not hate,
Those that I guard I do not love;
My country is Kiltartan Cross,
My countrymen Kiltartan's poor,
No likely end could bring them loss
Or leave them happier than before.
Nor law, nor duty bade me fight,
Nor public men, nor cheering crowds,
A lonely impulse of delight
Drove to this tumult in the clouds;
I balanced all, brought all to mind,
The years to come seemed waste of breath, A waste of breath the years behind
In balance with this life, this death.
When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
And nodding by the fire, take down this book, And slowly read, and dream of the soft look Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;
How many loved your moments of glad grace, And loved your beauty with love false or true, But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you, And loved the sorrows of your changing face;
And bending down beside the glowing bars, Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled
And paced upon the mountains overhead
And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.
When I must leave you
for a little while,
Please do not grieve
and shed wild tears,
And hug your sorrow
to you through the years,
But start out bravely
with gallant smile,
And for my sake and in my name,
Live on and do all things the same.
Feed not your loneliness on empty days,
But fill each waking hour
in useful ways,
Reach out your hand
in comfort and cheer,
and I in turn will comfort you
and hold you near.
And never, never be afraid to die,
For I am waiting for you in the sky
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
I WILL not follow you, my bird,
I will not follow you.
I would not breathe a word, my bird,
To bring thee here anew.
I love the free in thee, my bird,
The lure of freedom drew;
The light you fly toward, my bird,
I fly with thee unto.
And there we yet will meet, my bird,
Though far I go from you
Where in the light outpoured, my bird,
Are love and freedom too.
He shall not hear the bittern cry
In the wild sky, where he is lain,
Nor voices of the sweeter birds,
Above the wailing of the rain.
Nor shall he know when
loud March blows
Thro’ slanting snows her fanfare shrill,
Blowing to flame the golden cup
Of many an upset daffodil.
But when the Dark Cow
leaves the moor,
And pastures poor with greedy weeds,
Perhaps he’ll hear her low at morn,
Lifting her horn in pleasant meads.
If we could have a lifetime wish
and a dream that could come true.
We would pray to God with all our hearts,
just to see and speak to you.
A thousand words won’t bring you back,
we know because we’ve tried.
And neither will a thousand tears,
we know because we’ve cried.
You’ve left behind our broken hearts
and precious memories too.
But we’ve never wanted memories,
we only wanted you.
Where I have gone I am not so small.
My soul is as wide as the world is tall.
I have gone to answer the call,
the call of the One who
takes care of us all.
Wherever you look,
you will find me there.
In the heart of a rose,
in the heart of a prayer.
On butterflies’ wings,
on wings of my own,
To you, I’m gone,
but I’m never alone… I am home.
In tears we saw you sinking,
and watched you pass away.
Our hearts were almost broken,
we wanted you to stay.
But when we saw you sleeping,
so peaceful, free from pain.
How could we wish you back with us,
to suffer that again? It broke our
hearts to lose you,
but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
the day God took you home.
Partings come and hearts are broken,
Loved ones go with words unspoken,
Deep in our hearts there’s a memory kept, For a husband and father we’ll never forget.
Some day I hope to meet you, Some day, I know not when,
To clasp your hand in a better land,
Never to part again.
Lonely is my home without you,
Life to me is not the same,
All this world would be like Heaven,
Just to have you back again.
I’ve lost my life’s companion,
A life linked with my own,
You’re still mine to remember,
A husband proud to own.
Many a tear I’ve shed since I lost you,
Many more will continue to fall,
You took my happiness with you,
The happiest hours of all.
Thus shall I walk with you And keep
the bond that love doth give,
Knowing that remembrance,
though unspoken,
Shall reach you wherever you live.
May the Lord watch between me and thee,
when we are absent from one another.
Partings come to let us know,
We love more deeply than we show,
But love in death should let us see,
What love in life should really be.
You always waited for me, Anxious,
if I were late, In winter at the window,
In summer by the gate, Your thoughts
were always for me, Not once did you forget,
And so I know from Heaven above,
You’ll be waiting for me yet.
You can shed tears that he is gone,
or you can smile because he has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray
that he’ll come back,
or you can open your eyes and
see all that he has left.
Your heart can be empty
because you can’t see him
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on
tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow
because of yesterday.
You can remember him and
only that he’s gone,
or you can cherish his memory
and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn back,
or you can do what he’d want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
A loving husband, father and grandfather too,
Each one of us thought the world of you,
For us you always did your best;
God grant your soul eternal rest.
Quickly and quietly came the call,
Without farewell you left us all,
A sudden call from God on high,
You had no chance to say goodbye,
Without farewell you fell asleep,
But memories of you we’ll always keep.
We did not know that morning,
What sorrow the day would bring,
When a heart of gold stopped beating,
And we couldn’t do a thing.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
We never fail to think of you,
We never cease to care,
We only wish we could go home,
And find you waiting there.
She never failed to do her best,
Her heart was true and tender,
She worked, and toiled for those she loved,
And left them to remember.
We sat beside your bedside,
Our hearts were crushed and sore;
We did our duty to the end,
‘Til we could do no more.
In tears we watched you sinking,
We watched you fade away;
And though our hearts were breaking,
We knew you could not stay.
You left behind some aching hearts,
That loved you most sincere;
We never shall and never will
Oh Jesus,
full of grace and charity,
victim for sinners,
so impelled by love for us
that you willed to die on the Cross,
I humbly beseech you through
your servant Saint Pio,
who generously participated in
your sufferings who loved you so
much and labored so faithfully for
the glory of your heavenly
Father and for the good of souls.
With confidence I beseech
you to grant me, through his
intercession, the grace of
which I ardently desire.
Now I am contented That my life it
was worthwhile
Knowing as I passed along
the way I made somebody smile.
When you are walking down the street
And you’ve got me on your mind
I’m walking in your footsteps
Only half a step behind.
And when you feel the gentle breeze
Or the wind upon your face.
That’s me giving you a great big hug
Or just a soft embrace.
So please don’t be unhappy,
Just because I’m out of sight,
Remember that I’m with you.
Every morning, noon and night.
Lonely is the home without you,
Life to us is not the same,
All the world would be like heaven,
If we could have you back again.
What he suffered he told but few,
He did not deserve what he went through.
Tired and weary he made no fuss,
But tried so hard to stay with us.
Two tired eyes are sleeping,
Two willing hands are still,
The one who worked so hard for us,
Is resting at God’s will. Our lips cannot
speak how we loved him, Our hearts
cannot tell what to say, But God only
knows how we miss him, In our home
that is lonely today. Pray for us,
O dearest father, To Jesus Christ our King; That He may bless our lonely home Where thou once dwelt therein.
And pray that God may give us strength,
To bear our heavy cross,
For no one knows but only He,
The treasure we have lost.
Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what’s to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey’s quicker,
For some the journey’s slow.
And when the journey finally ends
We’ll claim a great reward,
\And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord.
Right now I’m in a different place
and though we seem apart.
I’m closer than I ever was I’m
there inside your heart.
I’m with you when you greet
each day and while the sun
shines bright I’m there to share
the sunsets too, I’m with you every
night I’m with you when the
times are good to share a laugh or two,
and if a tear should start to fall I’ll
still be there for you And when
that day arrives that we no longer are apart. I’ll smile and hold you close to me forever in my heart.
Sometimes the road of life seem long
as we travel through the years.
And, with a heart that’s broken
and eyes brimful of tears, we falter
in our weariness and sink beside the way.
But God leans down and whispers
‘Child, there’ll be another day’
And the road will grow mush smoother
and much easier to face.
So do not be disheartened,
this is just a resting place.
We little knew that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide;
and though we cannot see you,
you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
and nothing seems the same;
but as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
